Who we are

Church Formation Collective was founded by Chuck and Jill Newkirk in 2026. Chuck is the former Lead Pastor of Church on Mill in Tempe, Arizona. He now serves as the President of Church Formation Collective, Executive Director of The Grove Church Planting Network, and is a regular adjunct professor at a local seminary. He is married to Jill, and they have two adult children, Abby and Micah.

Church Formation Collective works closely with several partner ministries and churches. In fact, we regularly lock arms with the Grove Church Planting Network to support the starting and strengthening of churches in Arizona, and with the Serenissima Ministry Group International to support the starting and strengthening of churches in Europe. Chuck serves on the Board and Staff of both. We warmly commend these ministries to you!
